Synopsis
Callie has given up on love and Christmas. She just wants to hibernate for Christmas. But her sister steps in and is determined not to let her give up on love.
Her sister creates a homemade advent calendar full of gifts and activities for Callie to complete. Callie reluctantly plays along and meets a charming baker who sparks her interest. The two team up to complete the rest of the activities, and end up finding more than they thought possible.
Thoughts:
This was such a feel good Christmas romance. I loved the characters. Callie is going through a touch time after her recent breakup and is struggling. I enjoyed how her sister jumped in to save the day and help her on her journey. I enjoyed how she grew as a character over the course of the book and found happiness not necessarily in a relationship. It was nice. I also really enjoyed Marco. He was such a sweet golden retriever of a character, and I was rooting for him the whole time. He was really supportive of Callie and going through some tough times of his own. Together they were so sweet, and it was a beautiful relationship. This was a little mix of a coming-of-age story mixed with romance, and I really enjoyed it.
