Synopsis:
During the jolliest time of the year a snowstorm strikes, and five strangers are stuck and take shelter in a roadside diner. As the night progresses, the snow and ice are piling up with no sign of letting up, and a mysterious sixth visitor enters. As things turn bloody the diners find themselves in a fight for their lives. All they wanted was a white Christmas, no one planned on it being red.
Thoughts:
A horror Christmas novella? Sign me up as quick as you can. Yes, please and thank you. This is a super quick novella at only 72 pages, but oh boy does it pack an emotional punch. There were a few scenes that were real tear jerkers, and one scene at the end that made me jump with joy. You know what you did Mr author and thank you for that!
I love it when an author can surprise me and it’s the little things that do it for me. Yes, this book was far -fetched, and yes, some parts could have been flushed out. But, hey, it was 72 pages.
I was a little underwhelmed with how the villain was handled. Up until this point the chapter headings had pretty closely matched a point in the chapter, but for this chapter I was very underwhelmed. I was just expecting something different based on the name and because of that I was disappointed.
However, this is still one of my favorite Christmas reads this year. Who knew.
