Synopsis:
Her world changes when Bebe walks into the bar. She’s everything Mel dreams of in a woman, except she’s married. So, when Bebe makes her a unique offer, she’s inclined to take it. Bebe and her wife Kade are in an open marriage, and Bebe would like to date Mel.
When starts as a light and fun meeting quickly turns into a relationship with some serious feeling. Through this relationship Mel finds courage, and hope. As Mel, Bebe and Kade explore the relationship they have, they start to wonder if their love could be even something more.
Thoughts:
I fell in love with T.J. Alexander last year so when their new book dropped, I ran to get a copy. This book was so good. I think it was my first polyamorous book and it was a lot of fun. Rom-Com’s are one of my favorite genre’s and queer rom-coms are the best. Romcoms are cheesy, yes, but they are fun, and I like them. This one delivered on the fun, and the spice. Like I said, I’d never read a polyamorous romance before, and the fact that this one was spicy, was an extra special treat. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but this book exceeded all my expectations in every way. To say I loved it would be an understatement.
The characters in this one was a lot of fun, and the cocktail focus was interesting. I wish that I had a few cocktails from the book to try while I was reading. Mel was amazing. She had been so hurt by her past relationship and gave it so much power over her that it clouded her future relationships. Bebe was such a fun character. For being so lighthearted and free spirited it was a nice twist to give her such a serious career and I was all for that, it helped make her a really well-rounded character. Kade was rather interesting. While she did really fit the moody artist stereotype, I loved getting to see her softer side later in the novel. As this book came to an end, I got sad because I wanted to spend more time with Mel, Bebe, and Kade, they were all amazing and together they were perfection.
As with the last T.J. Alexander book I read the writing was so well done and I wanted to stay in their character’s world longer. I will anxiously await their next book!
